Description

The main responsibility for the Manager is to implement the strategic plan to penetrate target markets in the construction industry. Manager will lead an interdisciplinary team to assemble and validate high performance building systems, and promote these solutions in the target market. The team will consist of applications experts and market development professionals focusing on the education, government and office segments. Description

Under the direction of the State Tax Manager this job exists in order to ensure that BASF and its subsidiaries ("Company") are in compliance with all state and local income/franchise, sales/use and property tax laws/regulations. This includes the accurate and timely filing of state & local income/franchise, sales/use and personal property tax returns and the timely filing of appropriate credit and exemption applications. This position has daily contact with staff and management personnel in corporate departments, i.e., finance, accounting, engineering, purchasing, etc., to obtain data required in the preparation of exemption applications and property tax returns to determine the basis for assessments & payment of taxes and has some contact with federal, state and local assessing officers/auditors and other outside personnel.

Principal Responsibilities:

* Analyze data to accurately and timely comply with state & local tax returns in one or more of the state tax concentrated areas. This includes requesting appropriate data from the field in a timely manner, analyzing such data and uploading the data into tax systems.
* File monthly, quarterly and/or annual state tax filings/returns, ensuring that all appropriate adjustments and exemptions are claimed and that BASF's tax liability is accurately determined.
* Assist Tax Manager in conducting all state & local tax audits.
* Maintain state and local tax calendars and tax credit and exemption databases.
* Maintain state & local accrual accounts including the reconciliation of such accounts to the General Ledger on a quarterly basis.
* Prepare and file other necessary returns/reports as assigned.
* Maintain customer sales tax exemption certificate files.
* Respond to vendor use tax exemption requests.

Qualifications

Description

Position Title: HR Process & Data Governance Manager

Purpose of Role:

The Process & Data Governance Manager is responsible for managing the HR data administration and HR process center of expertise for BASF North America and identifies opportunities to increase and streamline the effectiveness of critical data administration and systems processes.

Principal Accountabilities

* Lead HR centralized process transformation through process re-engineering, driving consistency regionally
* Develop and manage a center of expertise for HR administration services for North America
* Manage the HR data administration and processes which in turn provides the ability to efficiently and effectively serve HR and employees
* Manage the alignment and implementation of NA HR processes with Global HR processes
* Lead the development of business requirements for HR process changes and coordinate with IT for system solutions.
* Manage the HR data and processes center of expertise and identify opportunities to increase the effectiveness of data administration and processes
* Liaise with Benefits, Payroll and Employee Service Center on HR administration issues, processes and systems
* Pro-actively manage the monitoring and improvement of data integrity and process improvement
* Introduce and implement best practice standards for new ways of working
* Influence the development of best practices for regional adoption and transfer
* Develop direct reports

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

* Minimum of 10 years of business experience with increasing responsibility
* Knowledge of SAP HR modules

* Developing processes designed to increase effectiveness and new ways of working
