		<title>Manager Business Development, High Performance Construction Solutions Job (Florham Park, NJ, US)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Manager Business Development, High Performance Construction Solutions-0900963<br/><br/>BASF is proud to be an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.<br/><br/>Description<br/><br/>The main responsibility for the Manager is to implement the strategic plan to penetrate target markets in the construction industry.  Manager will lead an interdisciplinary team to assemble and validate high performance building systems, and promote these solutions in the target market.  The team will consist of applications experts and market development professionals focusing on the education, government and office segments.  The Manager must continuously evolve and regenerate BASF building assemblies and ensure they are developed, tested, validated and marketed in close cooperation with the RBU's (Regional Business Units).<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities:<br/><br/>* The Manager will select, develop and manage an interdisciplinary team to develop and validate building assemblies that strengthen BASF's position in the construction industry.<br/>* Lead continuous innovation in building systems that enable customers to build higher performance and more sustainable buildings.<br/>* Support positioning the current portfolio of building solutions in the market and gain qualifications required to develop new business<br/>* Communicate to all key stakeholders in the construction market, form alliances with industry partners/customers and work with regulatory organizations.<br/>* The Manager will interact with all levels in BASF as well as coordinate with other BASF efforts within the construction arena.<br/><br/>Scope:<br/><br/>* Set-up and lead an interdisciplinary team (final team to consist of 12 market and development and 5 building and application experts)<br/>* Drive building systems development, application testing and validation, as well as promote them as high performing solutions to the education and government office building segments.<br/>* Identify and coordinate relationships with value-adding alliance partners (industry associations, code/regulation institutions, etc.)<br/>*<br/>Position BASF as a leader in sustainable construction solutions.<br/><br/>*<br/>Establish open and disciplined communication with RBU's for effective exchange of technical information and commercial opportunities.<br/><br/>* Develop content for market communications projects including tools to aid customers in using BASF building systems.<br/>* Be accountable for business plan.<br/><br/>The location of this position can be in any of the following four BASF sites:<br/><br/>Florham Park, NJ<br/><br/>Charlotte, NC<br/><br/>Beachwood, OH<br/><br/>Wyandotte, MI<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>* Bachelors Degree required with a technical focus.  MBA or equivalent work experience required.<br/>* Minimum of 10 years experience within building, architecture and/or the construction industry.  Must be an industry expert.<br/>* At least 7 years supervisory/management experience required.<br/>* Very strong orientation around sustainability required.<br/>* LEED accreditation strongly preferred.<br/>* Market Development and sales experience required.<br/>* Experience in education and/or government/public projects required.
