		<title>Process Controls Engineer Job (Freeport, TX, US)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Process Controls Engineer<br/><br/>Work as a member of the Daily Operations Team. Be the system administrator of all controls systems ( DCS, Triconnex ,HIMA, PIMS, etc.) associated with the ACC. Be the focal point for all instrumentation modifications installed in the ACC,  including those proposed for  capital projects before and during construction. Develop training simulations for the ACC unit. Serve as the manufacturing representative on  I/E projects. Maintain and have applied understanding of plants interlocks. Revise / Draw loop sheets as necessary. (Control Scheme Changes and As built changes for projects). Design/Improve Control Configuration.  Participate in Loop Tuning. Perform  DCS configuration changes as needed.  Maintain the Foxboro I/A Control System. Build graphics, faceplate pages and overlays. Work with the APC group to implement and maintain advanced process control applications. Be the leader of the DCS/ alarm management team. Perform specific I/E training for the DOT. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems. Work closely with Operations Technicians, Mechanical technicians, and other engineers, etc. <br/><br/>Requires a BS degree in Engineering. A minimum of 5 years work experience associated with control systems is required.   Must have strong technical knowledge in the fundamentals of controls engineering and controls systems. 		<description><![CDATA[Operations Support II<br/><br/>The incumbent job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: <br/><br/>1.       Working from written and verbal instructions, operates equipment to make production batches and visually inspects and monitors for performance.  Operates process control equipment using computer controls, including PLC and DCS.  Charges liquid raw materials using measuring devices, piping systems, hoses and pumps.  Charges solid raw materials from super sacks and bags.  Transfers in-process materials to finishing vessels and through product filters.  Transfers finished products from process vessels to tank trucks, tank cars, drums or totes.  Cleans equipment as scheduled including pumps, lines, vessels and hoses, etc. Records operating data, catches samples, interprets results and responds with appropriate adjustments and helps troubleshoot the process. <br/><br/>2.       Operates environmental facilities including wastewater handling system, process flares and vapor recovery devices. Assures proper handling of waste streams to meet local, state and federal regulations. <br/><br/>3.       Performs emergency response functions.  Responds to releases and spills to contain and control materials safely on site.  When necessary, handles hazardous wastes within compliance of BASF, state and federal requirements, including generation, labeling, inspection and shipment.  Uses necessary safety and personal protective equipment.  Participates in required training and drills.  Writes incident reports as necessary. <br/><br/>4.       Operates utilities equipment to assure continuous supply including the steam boilers, hot oil systems, air compressors, cooling water systems, etc. <br/><br/>5. Have knowledge of products, types of shipping containers used, characteristics of chemicals shipped, operation of fork lift truck, knowledge of truck shipping regulations, and safety requirements relative to handling various chemicals.  Ability to determine measurements, make calculations and read various instruments, gauges and meters. 		<description><![CDATA[Operations Engineer - Acetylenics<br/><br/>This position will be an integral part of the Geismar Acetylenics Team. Related work experience in reading loop sheets, electrical interconnect drawings, ladder logic drawings, equipment specifications. and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&ID's) and knowledge of prevailing electrical codes.<br/><br/>6. 		<description><![CDATA[Operations Engineer<br/><br/>Under the direction of the Production Manager the Operations Engineer is responsible for providing technical process assistance for operating units.  Involved in all phases of operations including:  raw material consumption, product yield accounting and process performance.
