Supply Chain Planner II - Demand Planning

Please note: this posting is for a DEMAND PLANNER position within the Supply Chain Planner job family. This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the successful candidate's experience.

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the demand planning process for the North American Polyurethanes business. The demand planning function is the primary link between the Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain teams, and the primary responsibilities of the incumbent include:

• Selection and use of statistical forecasting models, as well as obtaining sales forecasts from the commercial team colleagues on a monthly basis.

• Chair the monthly demand validation meeting to ensure the business demand and inventory requirements are met.

• Maintain and enhance APO system data.

• Develop and distribute detailed forecasting KPIs.

• Drive continuous improvement in planning process.

This position may include some material planning responsibilities as required. The incumbent will also lead special supply chain optimization projects as required.

• High School or GED graduate degree at a minimum. BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Statistics is strongly preferred.

• At least 3 years work experience required. 5 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or related field preferred.

• APICS certification preferred. (PLEASE NOTE: It is expected that the selected candidate enroll in APICS classes required within 6 months of accepting the position, and subsequent certification within 2 years.)

• Working knowledge of a MRP-Supply Chain related system is required. Specific experience in SAP, SAP APO or Flex Planning is strongly preferred.

• Proven capability to work independently and with minimal supervision is required.

• Strong working knowledge of Excel is required.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Access is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required.
