French Speaking Customer Care Representative/Michigan Job

French Speaking Customer Care Representative/Michigan
Represents BASF as the primary point of contact for customers and, under direct supervision, is responsible for the entire order fulfillment process. Serves as the liaison for customers within BASF and also with external service providers. Performs routine tasks requiring resolution of many different, sometimes conflicting, issues. Receives, processes and follows up on orders and inquiries using reporting tools within the SAP environment. Directly initiates necessary action required to remove any obstacles between customers' requirements and BASF's ability to satisfy them. Monitors work queues to ensure orders are fulfilled as required and expedites shipments. Receives, processes and follows up on customer complaints/non conformances. Monitors and administers programs developed by Marketing that manage the inventories of products under sales allocation or control. Understands and follows defined Customer Care processes and procedures. Participates in making decisions within established guidelines in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment. Presents relevant topics at sales or other business meetings. Travels to customer and plant sites as required.
Shift Work: Staggered starts (i.e., 8:00AM, 8:30AM or 9:00AM) - Candidates will be assigned the start time required for coverage and with advanced notice may be reassigned as business changes dictate. Some degree of flexibility in working hours is required. Also may be handling after hours phone coverage.
Required:
. Bachelors degree or professional work experience (e.g., customer collaboration; order management)
BASF recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Word) and web-based applications
. Ability to handle multiple PC applications
. Customer focus
. Ability to work well in a team environment
. Ability to read, write and speak French
. Ability to set priorities and manage time in a dynamic work environment
. Good problem solving, analytical and math skills
Desired:
.Bachelor's degree
Knowledge and understanding of international export logistics, export/import order management, supply chain process, materials planning
. Knowledge of Non Conformance Management (NCM) process
. APICS certification or working towards APICS certification
. Knowledge of SAP
. Knowledge of Lotus Notes
. Good written and verbal communicator
. Developed business acumen
