Technical Service Rep - Nutrition Ingredients

This position is located in Tarrytown, NY

Reporting to the Manager, New Business Development Nutrition, the Tech Sales Rep supports the implementation of nutrition strategies for the North American food ingredients portfolio.

Principal Responsibilities::::: include:

1) identification of new nutritional opportunities for the global nutrition ingredients portfolio.

2) Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing for new product commercialization and product presentation at customer side.

3) Identifies new fields of application for the nutrition ingredients portfolio.

4) Provide technical link between R&D and the market place.

5) Establish the agenda, priorities and work plans for area of accountability.

6) Ensure that Marketing, Sales, and technical positions are in alignment. Regular interaction with Marketing Managers, Sales Representatives, Technical Marketing Managers, and R&D is imperative.

• MS (Chemistry / Nutrition) required

• 5-8 years food or beverage consumer products experience, academic experience that blends science and business or a combination of both

• 2-3 years minimum lab experience required

• Prior experience in the Nutrition Industry is a plus

• Good communication and presentation skilled required

• Ability to solve problems, plan and coordinate lab projects

• Attention to detail with a proven laboratory safety record

• Proven collaborative, leadership and influencing style
