Ops Engineer III Assist Operations Manager and contribute as member of the Extended Site Leadership team to satisfy production requirements for the BASF Pasadena CC site. This position requires participation in the coordination of production, maintenance, technology improvements, capital investments, health and safety, ecology, quality assurance, and working closely with members of the site leadership team in both a support or leadership role as required. Incumbent will interact daily with the operations and maintenance teams to meet operations requirements. Interaction with business group (materials management, marketing, customer service, product development, and colleagues at other BASF sites) will be frequent and interaction with corporate support (Engineering, Ecology, Safety) will be on an as needed basis. Regular discussion with suppliers, engineering contractors, and vendors is also required. Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, 5 years of manufacturing experience, Strong interpersonal skills are required to interface with operations, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and various site and corporate functional groups, as well as outside vendors and contractors. Strong technical skills to help troubleshoot problems in different manufacturing areas. Strong managerial skills to assist Operations Manager and Leadership team in meeting spending targets for budgetary (maintenance, operating expense, etc) and capital projects.
