Lab/QC Supervisor The incumbent is responsible for supervising the quality assurance and waste water treatment laboratory activities at the BASF Monaca manufacturing site, supporting the acronal, XSB, coater ready, and basoplast technology areas. He/She is responsible for the following activities: - analysis in support of product regulatory and plant hygiene - maintaining product quality and consistency through proactive monitoring, SPC, and process improvement programs. - quality of incoming raw materials. - evaluating current status of laboratory equipment and recommending changes or additions when needed. - maintaining all related ISO 9001 and RCMS programs for the site - auditing third party suppliers and distributors when necessary Minimum requirements: - With a degree in Chemistry (BS 8 yrs, MS 6 yrs) and applicable industrial experience. - experience with Analytical/QA Chemistry, LIM systems, and analytical methods development. - good working knowledge of ISO 9000. - Experience in and knowledge of polymer chemistry. - strong proficiency in analytical chemistry, statistical, experimental, and chromatographic techniques. - good human relations and communication skills to support the efforts of other QA personnel while working with Customers, R&D, Production, Shipping, and Marketing. - good organizational and management skills - good conflict management skills Preferred: - Supervisory experience - Experience with polymer maufacturing - Experience with latex dispersion - Experience with SAP R3 systems Primary Location: United States-Pennsylvania - Monaca Other Locations::
