Reliability Engineer Provide Reliability Engineering expertise and knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, motors, agitators, blowers, mechanical seals, etc.) and predictive / preventative maintenance activities to support troubleshooting and equipment replacement / improvement activities. Two main areas of responsbilities: Reliability Engineering Participate / facilitate root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations upon request. Participate / facilitate reliability center maintenance (RCM) analysis upon request. Provide leadership to the Reliability Technicians Provide technical expertise on Preventative / Predictive Maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, motor circuit evaluation, and Positive Material Identification (PMI) Initiate, design, and execute maintenance related projects. Strategic Engineering Responsibilities: Create, review, validate, and provide feedback on new and revised corporate policies and procedures related to mechanical design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance. Provide assistance to procurement with technical reviews of pumps, compressors, agitators, motors, and mechanical seals. Identify, evaluate, and promote cost-savings opportunities regarding equipment reliability, design, installation, and commissioning opportunities. Required: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field 5 years of experience in either rotating equipment or reliability engineering. Experience in performing Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Working knowledge of preventative/ predictive maintenance techniques Experienced with mechanical equipment design, fabrication, and installation. Familiar with applicable industry Codes as the relate to rotating and stationary equipment (ASME, API, and other applicable codes) Able to handle and manage multiple priorities. Self-starter, good communication skills, organization, coordination, and leadership skills. Strong computer skills Desired: SAP or other CMMS experience Experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Experience in chemical/petrochemical industry.
