Professional Development Program (PDP) - Engineering Class of 2010

Through a series of real-world rotational assignments at different sites throughout the United States, participants will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants will also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture and values. Participation in the PDProgram requires participants to focus their expertise on significant challenging opportunities in a fast-paced global environment.

Participants explore career options and develop technical and professional decision making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs through two nine-month rotational assignments at different sites.

The program may consist of assignments in

• Manufacturing/Operations

• Corporate Engineering (Process / Project)

• Ecology & Safety

• Maintenance

• Research & Development

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Construction, Electrical or Mechanical)

• Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.0)

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Authorization to work in the US without restrictions

• Outstanding work ethic

• Proven Leadership Skills

• Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations

• College Seniors (December 2009/ May 2010 grads)

• Mobile minded

• Bilingual (a plus)
