Strategic Accounts Manager -Dispersions and Pigments (Minneapolis, MN)
Manages BASF Dispersion and Pigments business with large corporation whose Global HQ is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA.
Manages total BASF N-EDN interface with customer.
Develops and facilitates relationship with customers at all levels within their organization.
Develops and implements a business plan for the Key Account in conjunction with the Leadership Team and or the responsible Strategic Business Unit in NAFTA.
Insures that all BASF resources are aligned, deployed, and operating in accordance with the business strategy to achieve the plan.
Negotiates prices/conditions, develops and implements contracts.
Builds broad and deep relationships between BASF and the Key Account and facilitates all meetings.
Meet with the Global Key Account Managers on a regular basis to ensure that the agreed upon Global Strategies and Operating Plans and the Regional Strategies and Operating Plans in support of the global activities are synchronized
Positions BASF as the preferred solution provider.
Monitors BASF performance and initiates corrective actions to ensure problems are corrected.
Communicates with their manager along with the support groups and Key Account Team on a regular and timely basis.
Adheres to all BASF Corporate and Business policies regarding contact reports, monthly reports, Key Account development sheets, expense reports, etc…
A minimum of a BSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years in sales experience. (Preferred)
MBA considered a plus
High level of proficiency in negotiating independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including making effective presentations.
Computer literate with high skill level in Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
Resourcefulness and the ability to navigate within an organization.
Advanced interpersonal skills in order to build strong customer relationships.
Core Competencies: Customers Focus, Organizational Awareness, Business and Financial Acumen, Analytical Thinking, Strategic Thinking, Team Work and Leading Employees to Success
Coatings, Packaging, Adhesives and Construction experience a plus
